HSBC A big name in Banking Industry though less popular India. HSBC has some advantage as well as disadvantages. HSBC unfortunately had not done enough in Retail banking ie. Service to the Direct customers. I am associated with HSBC for my salary account. I would not say I am completely unsatisfied with the service but don’t even recommend to go with HSBC.
Whats good with HSBC?
The best part of HSBC is their customer care, they are not only polite but also pretty much informative. Most of the time they solve your query through telephonic communication. No matter how you could connect them. Over the call, email chat etc.
They focus on customers bank account security, as you need to have a security device in order to do any online transactions.
They promote themselves by offering various perks on opening FD account.
Also promote the online transation by giving off coupons
Whats Bad?
Frequency of their ATM Its like almost no ATM in the city like Pune.
Too Strict policy for Corporate account holders.
Though I will not recommend HSBC Retail Banking.
