I think that HSBC will top the list of unethical practices that I have personally and many of my colleagues. I had a horrible experience with HSBC credit card usage , charges and closure.I think the bank even goes and denies a written communication from the nodal officer when it goes for interest and charges.It denies it owns letter head statement.Bank has designed process to cheat customer where ever possible.
I honestly believe those who have got HSBC card , close it asap and be sure to get the full and final letter.Be careful what the customer care says.Always reconfirm what they say in the request.I would say you need to have a confirmation in written and after that get a confirmation from the bank that what they have mentioned in the letter is the same in the bank as well. Strange but true with this bank !! Beware of this bank .
