This is my recent experience with HSBC. I foreclosed my personal loan on 8-July-2005. They said, “Everything is done”. But on 12-July-2005, to my surprise an EMI for month ’’July” has been detected from my personal saving account. When I called HSBC, they said, ’’I will send a message to the concern department. They will take care of this issue’’. But till now I haven’t got any call from HSBC. I called many times, but the same reply.
Now, I burnt my fingers, by paying overdraft fee (Rs.750) and interest on the overdraft amount in my personal savings account. This is because of HSBC’s EMI debit activity.
I am not able to get the Bangalore MG Road HSBC branch manager’s email address or phone number. Only option that is left to me is to visit the branch personally, which will take 4 hours of my time (That too during my office hours).
I advise you to be careful with HSBC while you foreclose your personal loans.
