I was never too convinced about HSBC - with their poor ATM network and lack of certain key services, e.g. vehicle finance. However, what was concerning was the apathy that they have shown in the past 3 months.
Its a saga - and I will only present key highlights:
I am banking with them since my organization does. Given a choice, Ill walk out right now. They had issued me a device to help in internet banking sometime in 2010. I was happily using it, till last August (August 2013), when HSBC issued another device for internet banking.
For certain reasons, thereafter, HSBC was unable to connect my account with the device. This, after about 4 extensions, and 2 replacements of devices. As a result, today Im unable to log into my account, leave alone transferring funds. They called me earlier this week and asked an extension till 19th October, which was yesterday. However, they have not been able to connect my account with device, neither have they called back
To those who wish to bank with HSBC - good luck guys! You will need it.
