HSBC The worst customer facing bank in India. I had my problems with HSBC for last 3 years, But I only became worse from bad. I had a personal loan account with them and paid my EMI regularly on time through ECS. But today I am regretting my decision to take loan from them.
They are incapable of processing any customer service request if you visit them in their branch directly. They have some back end sitting on the moon which can process the request taken in written at their branches. And no one can do a follow up with them. Because they don’t give you back end number. Their back end takes at least 15-20 days for processing any request to them and they will not entertain any query regarding the status on the request.
If you need to produce any vital document such as a duplicate copy of sanction letter or need to produce any other vital document they simply cannot do it at their branches. Its only their elusive back end which will give any details. Even if you want to foreclose any loan you need to write and application and then their back end will send you the foreclosure advice in next 10 working days. Which you need to fill up and then again go back to their branches to make the pending payment. Approximately 10 days later they will send you the final foreclosure letter.
Overall its a quite a parade for the customer to obtain even very simple information. And their branches are even worse. There was one Customer care Manger at their Andheri East, Mumbai Branch named Mousmi who was highly sarcastic on my request and didn’t listen to my query at all. The way she was speaking was clearly reflecting the attitude with which HSBC works. God knows how she managed to become a customer care manager; rather her title should have been "I dont care customer manager".
HSBC does not care for its customers. I will never have any kind of banking relationship with this kind of institution again. Please be aware and stay away from HSBC.
