Petrol Surcharge-A total Eye wash

I have a HSBC Credit card and they claim to offer zero percent petrol surcharge. Well would like to tell you that its a total eye-wash.

I am being constantly charged for this and on enquiring with them via emails, they act as if they cant understand what I am asking. Very smart indeed. Then later they come up and say its waived off for charges between 400-2500.what abt charges above 2500?No answer.

So please refrain from using this bank’s credit card for any fuel purchases. And to top it all all this is happening when I have received regret letters from them informing me on the charge reversal on previous instances of them charging the surcharge.

The other instance is they suddenly come up with these new rules and they dont even seem bothered enough to inform their customers of these changes. Really unprofessional. The ads which are pasted all over their atms dont have any asterisk marks stating tht conditions apply. I guess they expect you to believe that every offer of theirs will have a catch alongwith it.

The other one was the cash back scheme they had. I had registered for it and the executive said that he would be getting back, Till date nothing has happenend and the scheme has ended. So much for their friendly schemes. Applied for a loan nothing happened of it.

Checked with the executive on the status and he says he has no clue as the applns go to a diff department. I think its about time banks realise that people go in for loans when they need money badly and that they are not doing any service to the consumer by sanctioning a loan.

Here forget the sanctioning, nobody even knows wheres the appln form. Need I say more on the service that is being rendered.
