Review : Well I am a customer of HSBC for about two and a half years. As a previliged customer if they would call me as I have never defaulted any of my payment. Look how a previliged customer gets treated.
A few weeks back I received a call form one of their collection agents as I did not send my payment cos I still had time for the due date. A day before the due date I had my cheque ready for payment and one of the HSBC collection agent called me and said make the payment immediatly. She was never even bothered to know if she was speaking to the customer or somebody else. Remember I was well within the due date. I then asked her name and from where she was calling and she gave me a reply like this your card number is XXXX XXXXX I said yes. She replied then make the payment immediatly....
I wonder how well the collection agents of HSBC are trained.. I know it was a call form one of their collection agents cos her english was much bad than even a butler.... this beign one fo the cases HSBC is also very famous for few things..
1. I wil drop in a cheque, the cheque would be picked up and the guy who picked up the cheque would misplace it somewhere and I will receive a call form the bank that I have not made the payment.. I will again send in a fresh cheque and this cheque and the misplaced cheque will come simultaneously to the bank and take away the funds that I might have arranged for someother purpose.
WoW what a technique to get an extra payment form the customer. and know what I will not be charged a late payment fees for late payment (though they were the culprit for having lost my cheque) for a simple reason that they have done it delibrately.
Friends anyone who wish to make your payment, please go any of the HSBC bank and before you drop your cheques into that payment box get it acknowledged of having dropped the cheque from their staffs. They must acknowledge, if they deny, please call their collection agent to your place and handover the cheque with acknowldgement...
2. Worlds best customer care- to reach the customer care will take atleast 35- 50 minutes. one may havem to go through the machine first make his choice and then nothing will work out and the machine will then put the customer on hold for a service executive(human being) to attend.. this guy/gal with sweet voice will greet us in latin/french/greek (well dont be surprised.their english language wil be at 2 mbps per second and will sound to you like someother alien language) thanks for being on hold sir, this is XYZ here and how may I help u sir try this saying in 2 seconds flat ........tongue twister
3. ever since my first card, the credit limit has been increased twice and for a very megre amount. well they may have so many policies that I cannot complaint or comment. But does their policy allow them to send an additional card without my consent. Which means without me sigining the application form for an additional card???????????????/, how the hell could this happen???????????....now what if I would ask them to show a document that I have applied for a card..... if you would ever chose a card from HSBC try reaching their customer care first or atleast cross check with some of your friends on their services and then go for it.. thanks for reading my review...
Pros : Brand name
Cons: customer care behaviour
