My HTC P 3300

It has been a month since I have bought my HTC P3300. A phone, one should be proud of.Well it costed me 21300 in Hyderabad.

Why I took HTC: I could have gone for HTC touch screen but, what impressed me in HTC P3300 was its GPS functionality. Well my bundle came with MAP King which I never installed, instead I tried Google Map and used the GPS functionality in that. It worked accurately under the open sky but under-roof it showed 5 km longitude and latitude accuracy through its GPS receiver. Well GPS has along way to come here in India but what I have, I will never get lost anywhere.

Look and Feel: Its a sleek piece and slips easily in my pajamas pockets. Also the weight is pretty fine to carry with pouch. I am really impressed with its roll ring, but the roll ball can be quiet irritating sometimes. Well if you travel on a bike, and want to listen to music, it’s a bad idea; you have to "ON" your windows media player, and then choose your song and drive. No outer touch buttons to control it. FM quality is pretty bad never catches.

Applications and Speed: It has a bad camera, so never think of clicking a photograph. It cannot auto focus on any object from close. Well also I tried using its voice command, and only “Play my music works, rest it can’t understand Indian English command. If you call the phone to call your wife, it might just ring your girlfriend SO HUHU.

I Installed Octro talk for Google, which is very simple to install and also installed Skype, now the real problem started when I was unable to hear/ partially hear / broken voice from any inbound call from skype and googel, well I found about the reason and came to know that the PROCESSOR SPEED is the issue, but then we don’t have any higher version available in India with more processor speed. The one which are available are equal to a good Laptop. Why not buy the laptop. I have also installed SJ phone which runs with Tpad, but again no inbound call. This works pretty well if you have a friend with a Tpad number and you are mobile just call him form your HTC without spending any money.

Overall the speed of the phone is good. The processor needs a up gradation. GPS works fine. Application is fine too. The feel is slim and comfortable. Airtel GPRS EDGE works well, but you can’t refill your prepaid mobile card form ICICI and HDFC site, I am not sure about other money transactions.

I have also spoke to the customer care if I can upgrade the processor speed and memory lets see if this can work out after they reply me about this.

I suggest if you are in Hurry this is the best, and if you can wait a little then there is more to come.

All the best
