I bought this phone some 3 months ago. The name says it all. "Desire HD" . If you compare it with other HTC phones. Its the best at just Rs. 18, 000. Come with Android v2.2 (Froyo)/v2.3 (Gingerbread) . Unfortunately, not upgradable to v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Till now, I’m not facing any problem with the phone.
Sleek, stylish Aluminium body . A whooping 4.3 inch Screen with a resolution 480x800 pixels and Gorilla Glass display. Audio output is also excellent. Has inbuilt Dolby Mobile and SRS WOW Effect . Primary camera of 8 MP with Geo-tagging, Face Detection and Autofocus. Hardware features include Qualcomm 1 GHz Scorpion Processor and Adreno 205 GPU. Internal Memory of 1.5 GB . 768 MB RAM . Memory slot expandable up to 64 GB.The only drawback it has is the battery life.
Comes with Standard 1230 mAH battery , 70% of which is eaten up by the screen. Need to charge it at least 2 times a day. Overall, it’s a nice phone. Has all the features of an Android phone. And trust me, the hardware is awesome. Not like the Samsung ones, which come out with display or touch input problems. Moreover, the customer support of HTC is also good.
Finally, ill like to give you guys a tip of my own who are reading this review. If you want to install Android v4.0 (ICS), you can upgrade to any custom ROM available on the net and experience the world of Ice Cream Sandwich.
overall rating for the phone: 4.5/5.
