I bought this phone from Sangeetha, Bangalore after waiting for a great deal of time. Finally got the phone on 20th of last month, did the charging and discharging process for 5-6 times. Wow, the phone is good, but the battery sucks. I have a blackberry and I thought I will take another phone. This is a new number, personal, so no one knows about this number. I do not get any phone calls or make any calls using this phone. I simply login to Gtalk and Gmail. The reason I am telling these things is because I am coming to the point now. My bluetooth, Wi-fi and other battery consuming things are off. Till date, I made only 2 calls from this phone.
I found the problem with this phone when I charge the phone to the fullest and wake up to find the phone dead. Initially, I was curious, thought that I might have switched it off before sleep, but the battery would be dead by then. I went to the TVS repair support as per Sangeetha. They kept the phone for 3 days and told me that its giving a good standby of 2 days with 2G sim. I use a 3G sim. I gave my 3G sim and asked them to keep the phone for another 2 days. They did and told me that its giving a 3 days of standby with use. I brought it and found the standby time of 4-7 hours(without any call or browsing). I went 20 kms to their service station for 4 days and finally gave up after they gave me a new charger.
Following is the ordeal with the customer service. I called up Tech Support(Delhi) and they reverted my call after 2 days and repeated me the same troubleshooting steps that I already did 10 times. Every time, I get to hear that they would escalate it higher. I asked them a different battery, but all you can hear is escalation. Now, its going to be one month and their escalation is still going on. 2 Days back, I got a call from them while I was driving and asked them to call after half an hour. They did not return back the call. You also do not find their CEOs or higher officials email address anywhere so that I could raise a complaint. The back side of the phone would get hotter by 10 degrees(REALLY) when you browse anything or Talk with anyone(my only 2 calls for 3-4 mins each).
Do not buy this phone. The customer service would not help you with anything. One of their fav sentence is(At this point of time, we are not aware of such issues with this phone). I did some google and found that all the customers are facing the overheating problem with the phone and CS refused to help.
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.
