I got it as a gift on August of 2015, from my uncle who lives in a foreign country.The phone package contains all needed accessories like earphones, charger, .etc.Some of the main features and drawbacks are given below -
-The phone has a qHD( not QHD) 5 inch screen, the pixel density per inch is low so, we can observe pixelation throughout the usage of the phone whether it is hom screen or while viewing videos and photos.
-It is powered by 1.2 GHz Quad core processor, ( I don’t care about it’s SoC manufacturer) and is coupled with 1 GB of RAM.
-The processing power is very good and gives good out put. It handles multi-tasking with out any lag( but Don’t expect much) .
-If I talk about gaming experience it is better than both Redmi 2 and 2 Prime as they lag very much in games like Marvel Heroes( Kabam), Asphalt 8 etc.but this phone can handle these tasks at medium settings with out any heating issues.
-it runs on it’s company’s own UI named emui 1.6 there were 2 updates that were available both were not ota and can be explained as below-
115 to 116 to 215
I didn’t feel much difference between them as all run on same EMUI versions and android jellybean.
-The battery life of the phone is awesome as it gives upto 10 hrs of battery life on daily basis and can give upto 4-5hrs on tasks like gaming, movies etc. Battery is removable and takes upto 2-3 hours for 100% charging using the stock charger.
-The EMUI houses cool and highly useful apps like Huawei Backup which takes backup of all user apps, contacts, etc. The main feature to focus is that it can backup app data and can restore it at the same point as it was before. I was shocked to see this feature as I have saw such features in cyanogenmod only and the best part it doesn’t need to be rooted. It also includes apps like FM Radio, DLAN to connect with smart TV, , and many many more.
-Speaker are decently loud enough and the stock earphones are good too.
-It has Dual sim slot and both are full size so no need to trim your sim cards. But only one sim supports 3G/WCDMA . The call quality is good as there is a voice cancellation mic above its camera.
-The cameras 5MP+ 1.3MP are average performer as both gives gtainy texture while using in low light or indoor lighting conditions.
-The body is built out of good quality plastic and ha a rubberised finish in it’s back for good grip. Bacj is a removable one.
The overall use is good for the price as it costs only 5990/- rupees and is available till now in flipkart.com . But I won’t highly recommend it as you can get a better phone at this price range as this was released on April 2014.
