Its One movie Which You can watch Several of times And Find something New in it. I have watched this movie So many times that I observed a Very Funny thing, The bed sheet in Madhuri’s Room which is the same throughout movie Is also There In a scene In Hum saath Saath Hai Where Karisma and Saif are doing the Spoof Act! So now you know How crazy I was Or should I say still am With this movie!
Who can forget the Chemistry between Madhuri And Salman , No Offence to Kajol and Srk Fans but I think These two amazingly good looking People Had the best chemistry in Hindi cinema Atleast In this Movie, Far Far Far better than Srk And Kajol In DDLJ. Hum aapke Hain Kaun had all the reasons to Flop when it released In 1994 when action movies were a total Rage! Everyone who saw Hum aapke hain Kaun! in the Trial version Said that this movie would never succeed, but it did And How! Its the biggest grosser In Bollywood till date!
The movie had 24 characters and Each character was so well defined right From Lallu- the housekeeper to Even Bhola Bhaiya- the Guy who was doing thesis On Shakuntala.The movie was 3hr 45 mins Long which was cut short to 3hr 15 mins by Deleting a few scene and Two songs - Chocolate Lime Juice and Mujhse juda hokar! Which was very disappointing that they cut two such Great songs ! :( Though these songs were later added when it was re-released!
The Full version was only released In Rajshri cinemas In Rajasthan Where the Unedited version of the movie released and the cinema goers were welcomes in a Very Traditional manner. After the success of Hum aapke hain Kaun Sooraj Barjatya went on to make Hum saath saath hain ! In which he offered Madhuri Tabu’s role but then Madhuri Felt that After the superb chemistry Between Her and Salman the audiences wouldnt be able to Relate to Salman as her Bhabi so She opted out of the latter!
However Sooraj tried to Cash in as much success as Hahk by adding all The Family Entertaining moments in the movie but he didnt Succeed and the Movie Failed at the Box office! And everyone felt that this movie was not as good as Hum aapke Hain Kaun. This movie Proved to be a Huge landmark in Madhuri And Salmans Career and It is thier Biggest Hit till date.This movie Brought an Entire trend Of Family Entertainer in Bollywood and thus ended the Action era. In fact after this movie Many movies with a Concept of wholesome Family entertainment Like - Kuch Kuch Hota Hai And Dil toh Pagal hai!
This movie also Won a National award for the Best Film of the year! This Movie is a pure Classic And The Best movie I have ever Watched Till Date!
P.S- When I was 4 I first saw this movie At a cinema Hall and Infact I saw it 4 times In the cinema hall! And I even Used to collect Hahk Cassette for its poster!
