If I discount the fact that the storyline is a direct lift from a lesser known Bengali novel, the only other word that I can use to describe this movie is MAGNIFICENT.
Every person acted fabulously.Especially Ajay Davgan.Even Salman Khan, who has taken to nothing but monkeying around on screen these days, did a good job.Aishwarya Rai did well in a typical ’’I’m so dumb I’m so helpless’’ role.
The music is heart stopping.The pain of the lovers separating is so tangibly portrayed that anyone who considers love to be anything other than champagne and roses candle night dinners and stuffed toys, will find it heart rending.
Its a must watch for people who are seriously in love
A word of caution:
People who are facing parental objection to their choice of a life-partner, should make sure that their parents don’t get to watch this movie.The movie, unlike the novel, spreads the general message that once u succeed in marrying the girl off to a decent fellow who will take good care of her, she will forget her erst-while love.For those people, I will recommend Sanjay Leela’s Devdas.
