Kya iss topic pe ek bhi review nahi hai ???
koi baat nahi ..let me be the pioneer !!!
So what happens when a Joint family has daughter-in-laws from varied parts of India and completely different cultures ?
Hmmm going by the Ekta kapoor sagas, one would say..
The three bahus plotting against each other and trying to steal each others husband and properties, also followed by a Saas of a Lalita pawar trying to unhook the gas cyclinder or putting oil on the staircase, waiting for the unexpectedly expected things to happen.....
Answer lock kardiya jaaye ?
Jee haann !!!
Bilkul Galat answer hai

Kachru parivaar, a perfect epitome of national harmony and cultural bonding is headed by a strong outside, but soft inside retired Kashmiri army head.
His loving traditional tamil wife (aiyoo.. kanna.. I forgot her name btw Dwing listening ???? ) has three loving sons Rohan, Sohan and Mohan.. who are usually called as Rohana, Mohana and Sohana by the tamil mother.
The sons contribute to the cultural diversification as well.

This was the introduction of a loving, comical family that comes as a whiff of fresh air among other family melodramas and dramatic soaps.
The family has its small and silly issues like the husbands working late, or one of them not paying attention to his wife due to work pressure, or some other trivial fight between Senior Kachru and his tamil wife.
But Most of the time the motherly saas, the vibrant first bahu, the coy yet sweet second bahu and the impishly naughty third bahu always nod their heads in unison and have ball of a time cooking together in the kitchen.
They do the stupidest things at times like dressing up in bold western clothes (to give a much needed jolt to the Kachru sons) , putting on funny disguises and playing practical jokes on the poor men.
They also have lanky daughter in the family, who is seldom seen , Bunty the brat who is Manjeet da puttar and a charlie-chaplin look alike Johnny who has to often get a rifle for the Senior Khatru when he blows his top.
Davieboy, you have a connection too.... :)
Together the mad family evokes laughter and sunshine and most of the time you end up seeing the true cultural bonding of India in the otherwise silly and comedy series.
The ladies are often amused with the jokes that spring from the linguistic confusions and the play of words.
Eg. Naak is
nose in Hindi yet
tongue in Tamil.
Chokha is
meeta is
-sugar in Hindi and
-salt in Gujarati and so on...
Most of the episodes are hilarious, Dimple shah is at her spunkiest best as the gujju preeti and so are the others.
I love this serial and often watch it to get a few laughs and at the end of it feel good that atleast one serial is genuinely promoting national integration and the saas-bahu warmth.
