I am writing this review after having tried Hyderabad House restaurant preparations at 4 different locations in Hydearabad over a period of more than one year. It includes Biryanis, Kebabs, other items.
First time I wanted to have dinner, I had no option as this looked like a nearest decent place near Tarnaka. First they didn’t have the items I ordered on Menu. Anyways, then whatever I ate, probably Chicken Biryani, was so bad for Hyderabad standard that I had to leave the meal halfway through.
After few months a friend of mine told me that this is indeed a good restaurant and took me to some other location. The preparations there was less than average and he himself seemed little surprised. Once again somebody invited me for a good Biryani and took me to the same restaurant. I kept the open mind but it was a bad experience once again.
Finally recently I had dinner at a friend’s place who had bought items like chicken, and kebabs from HH again. I could barely eat those items which kind of looked stale. I didn’t know where he bought them from. When I asked, he told me he had got these from HH. Bad luck once again:-(
I have tried many well known and not so well known places in Hyderabad for Biryanis, kebabs and various other preparations. I never have had this kind of’CONSISTENT’ bad experience as I did with Hyderabad House preparations. This chain of restaurant seems focused only on expansion and you can find it at many places in Hyderabad. But unfortunately the quality is a’casualty’ here. Particularly so for the PRICE you have to pay for their third class preparations.
BTW a friend of mine who planned a little Iftar recently informed me that he planned it in HH. After my strong displeasure for the place, he changed the venue to some other decent restaurant. Good for me:-)
