I’m not sure why more has not been written/known about Hyderabad. It also makes me think that’s what makes the city special. It is a hidden jewel. So much hype and hoopla about Bangalore.. all for nothing (read my review on Bangalore in mouthshut.com). But Hyderabad is city that does not come with all the hype but still has to offer much more than what Bangalore has to offer.
I’m from Tamilnadu. I happened to work in Hyderabad/Secundarabad for a year in 1995-1996. In retrospect I really appreciate what it had to offer. It is a lovely city. Nice weather, not very high cost of living, and much more.
THe city is very scenic (except for a very few places). No water problem. The rents are not too high. The transporation is pretty decent. The autos are cheap and the auto drivers do not cause too much of a trouble (compared to other cities), people are friendly.
