I have yet been another victim of Hypercity with their products. I have bought a baby pram for my son and have just used it for TEN days and the wheels broke (Mee Mee Baby Pram for INR3495/-). Persistently contacted their call center followed by seeing the store staff to seek some support towards getting it fixed at an agreed charge.
But, they have always played dumb by either not getting back to me over the phone and have ignored my calls. I was asked to see one of the Department Managers for the same by the Customer Service Desk at the Hyderabad site. But, when approached by him all he could assure was get me the contact phone numbers of the vendor instead of chasing it up with the vendor. I spoke to a local retailer about the same and he temporarily fixed it for me. Hypercity has always played deaf to persistent requests to get me the vendors technician.
I would NOT recommend the products, which you think will possibly need any form of service. Hypercity might be lower on their prices with international merchandise. But, their staff provides you the worst experience, which you will not forget about in your lifetime. If they cannot hire staff who are never there to take care of their customers.
The other thing that moved me was when I threatened to go see a Consumers Court, the Department Manager (for the Baby Products section) was happy to let me go. I have been in retail and still work for retail and have never shown the kind of attitude shown by the so called Department Manager. He did not even say that he was ready to help me out in anyway if I bring over the product. Damn with these chains when they can afford to pay so heavy for rents and interiors. But, cannot get on-board some decent staff who understands the end customer. They should be aware that the staff will be customers who in turn will have similar issues. Would refrain from Hypercity and I recommend you stay away from the same.
