Hyundai Verna Engine-oil change

On 27-12-2009, afternoon, I drained the engine-oil of my Hyundai Verna CRDI VGT Diesel car;after flushing the engine with Cylo Motor Flush at 31201Kilometres on the car-wash ramp at my house-site at Punalur.

As one of the Hyundai dealers in Kerala State, South India, supplied me with an engine-oil filter made by Mobis India of some other Hyundai car;I could not install a new one.Noticed this error in sale only after dismantling the filter element.Sheer carelessness on the part of the workshop personnel.

So, I cleaned the used engine-oil filter with Kerosene-oil and re-fitted. Left the car covered on the ramp over night with the crankcase and tappet cover vent open to allow maximum drainage of black oil. Early morning 28-12-2009, replenished with five litres Mobil Delvac 15W/40 engine-oil. The car is performing superb with the cleaned filter element. So to write, much better than an engine-oil change at a Hyundai workshop, where they don’t give sufficient drainage time for the sludge oil.

Later, I sent the mismatched engine-oil fliter element to the personnel, who sold me the same and got it exchanged with correct specification.I can use it in the future.
