Hyundai Ascent CRDi... it rocks

What more can a person expect from a car which is so user friendly and comfortable to drive....

I bought this car in July 2005, have driven it almost 15, 000 km in 5 months (rest of the time I was out of India). Till date am SATISFIED (wish I had another word for it) and would recommend the car to anyone who wants to roar on Diesel.

Diving Comfort & Mileage: It was only during the first week that I felt that I was driving something that ran on diesel, once I got used to it I got addicted... Driving daily from Gurgaon to Noida is as good as driving within city it gives me an average of 17.5 to 19.5 (trust me), on 2 occasions I have taken the car on the highway and have done 800+ km in a ay at a speed of 90 km /hr + and have got an average of 24 km/lit. Well all my friends say that I drive nicely and that’s why I get that kind of a mileage... but so be it... the result is phenomenal.

VFM: Keeping it short and crisp. CRDi is the need of the hour and that’s the reason we are starting to see some competition in the market. At this price one should not expect all the luxury form the car what one get’s is what it’s worth. The AC is by far and large the best in the segment.

Area Of Improvements: Nothing is perfect in this world and that’s exactly what I have also realised...

Tyres: My car came with Bridgestone tyres and in spite of me driving only on city roads 3 out of 5 tyres have torn (the first time I came across this) well I plan to go to the court for this once I return to India but it was really surprising to see NEW tyres tearing apart like cotton

Noise: Well am not talking about the noise from engine but the plate which shields the engine from dust etc at the bottom tends to make some rubbing, jerky noise on humps which needs to be looked into at each service. I noticed it because I prefer a drive without any flaws however people seem to have gotten used to it. I have test driven a few cars as well and the same noise is there in most of the cars

Sound System: At this price and the noise Hyundai should start providing a company fitted system in the car and that too a nice one

Conclusion... In a nutshell in case any of you reading this article are double minded then please be rest assured that his car is worth giving a try.

Rgds...
