I have been using the Accent GVS model for the last 2 years and I must say that it is one of the best thing’s which has happened to me. I was in love with my Ford Ikon 1.6 SXI which I used to drive before this, however, this little birdie (Accent) made me get over my break up with my IKON quite seamlessly.
Since I have used both cars, a breif comparisn follows:
Looks:
IKON: Sporty and Pouncing TIger like
Accent: Suave and Sophisticated
Space:
IKON: Front - Superb
Back - Ideal for 5’8" tall people to sit comfortably
Accent: Front - Superb
Back - Cramped
Power:
IKON: Nothing better on Indian roads in its league and can give even the fastest of cars run for their money
Accent: "Lambi Race Ka Ghoda" is what I call it. Once on full throttle, nothing can get near it
Handling:
IKON: Sturdy, Steady and Sticks to the ground
Accent: A little jerky but holds tight
Suspension:
IKON: Excellent
Accent: Pretty good

Mileage:
IKON: 8 - 11 depending on application of brakes, clutch and traffic
Accent: 9 - 12 without doubt
Interior Styling:
IKON: Outdated and simple
Accent: Too simple compared to its exterior
Maintenance:
IKON: Damn expensive and too frequent visits to workshop
Accent: Cheap maintenance, trip to workshop does not cost more than Rs. 2000
Recommendations:
IKON: for those looking for power and fond of typical Delhi driving (no lane driving and constant overtaking)
Accent: for that suave executive who wants to make a mark that he has arrived
I love both cars but at this point in time in my life Accent is simply the "King in it’s class"
