I bought Black Accent Executive 2011 model on Jan 20th. Before this I owned Chevy Spark. I was told by several people that Accent will be poor on mileage. So I was prepared for that. Some reviews had also suggested that back seat may be uncomfortable in long drives. Considering that my drives are mostly upto 6-7 hours max, I was prepared for that too.
But my experience is different from above reviews. Accent Executive 2011 is an amazing car. I was surprised by its grip on the road. Driving at 90 kmph and applying sudden brakes stopped the car so smoothly, I was left wondering. Noise is acceptable and lesser than my Chevy Spark(but I love Spark). AC is very effective. Suspension sounds good so far. And to all those who are worried about mileage, let me tell you there’s no such shortcoming in this car. I mostly drive around 90kmph on highways. And to my amazement I am getting mileage of 17kmpl consistently(without AC) and 16kmpl with AC. Within city also I am getting 13+ with AC. We have not noticed any uncomfort on the back seat. My parents enjoyed the drive of 5 hours without any problem. Car shape is perfect.it’s beautiful, 100 times better than those SX4s, Indigos or Logans!
Few things which can be improved in this car are space at the front to hold stuff. Dashboard is designed in such a way that you can’t put stuff on it. It’s good in one sense that it keeps front clean but on the other hand where to put the stuff then? Bottle holders are poorly designed, 1 ltr. water bottle cannot be held on left/right side in front cabin(they are too small). This is poor thinking indeed and annoying at times.
Leaving that apart, car is perfect. My recommendation - GO FOR IT!
