I bought this car a LPG dual fuel vehicle about an year ago. It clocked 47000 kms. Till a year it never gave any problems. The mileage on highway on petrol is about 14kmpl, on gas about 13 kmpl. Although the dealer claimed it as 6 -7 kmpl on LPGas. Till it went to the Local dealer "Utkal Hyundai- Bhubaneswar" for a denting job, on the boot door. Since then the boot door never closed properly, the burglar alarm went off every now an then.I had to lock it manually every time.
The boot door was damaged in an accident, it was repaired by Utkal Hyundai. The repair work was shoddy and the boot door never closed properly. The burglar alarm went off every now and then( once at dead of night 1:30 AM) Then one fine morning it did not start. Utkal Hyundai came to us on call and tugged away the vehicle. They repaired the vehicle, we took delivery and it stopped 10 kms away at a traffic junction. We went thru hell again. Utkal Hyundai again tugged away the vehicle . They repaired the vehicle, we took delivery and it stopped 7 kms away at another traffic junction. We went thru hell once again. Utkal Hyundai again tugged away the vehicle. It is 15 days and there is no sign that this car will ever get right again. They come up with excuse that spares are not available again.
At last the spare came, and it got repaired & and they disconnected the light levelers. I realised on a highway. I manually fiddled with the wires below the streeing and the lights worked again.
Somehow I am afraid of taking this car on long drives.Do remember this car can start on gas and run on gas as long as there is petrol in the car. If petrol goes empty, the car doesnot start.
An LPG version costed me 5.6 Lacs. Over all it is a cheapest sedan with all features and looks. Great to drive, and goes smooth over bumps, after 47000 kms no alignment of wheels required.
I am only worried about the electrical parts.
