I want to relate my horrible experience at MGF Hyundai Showroom(Jhandewalan, New Delhi) on 15th September 2007 by hands of their sales executive and the receptionist.
I went to the showroom because I wanted to choose between Santro XO/Getz GVS(1.1) and Getz GLE(1.3) models. I met the sales executive and he started showing me Getz. During talks, I mentioned that today, I was just there to make up my mind, and would make final decision in 1-2 weeks. After that, the sales executive totally lost interest, and stopped cooperating altogether. He refused to give me test drives of Santro/Getz, and did not even give me any product brochures for these cars. I went to Reception on 2nd floor, and asked the girl there to give me a feedback form and let someone else talk to me, but she expressed her inability to help me in any way. She even refused to divulge her name. They tried to make me feel as if I was just there to get a joyride, and did not have an intention of buying a car.
Im not sure whether this is the standard way potential customers are treated at Hyundai, or this was a one off incident perpetrated by an individual having a bad day. I really felt insulted and now have dropped the idea of purchasing a Hyundai car as I dont want to take a chance of such incident being repeated in future.
I never have been insulted like this before, and want to vent out my anger. Please share your experience with Hyundai in comments.
