I have booked a Getz Prime 1.3 GLS. Its a wonderfull car for sure. I did a comparision between, Swift, Palio, U-VA and Gets before deciding to go for Getz. The points I compared are:
Fuel Economy: Gets U-VA and Swift are almost the same. Palio is better.
Looks : Swift is awfull, Palio is OK, U-VA is good. Nothing beats Getz.
Interiors: Palio is horrible, Swift and U-VA was good. Getz - When I test drove the car, I saw dark gray interior with Silver chrome finish. It really looked great. Looked like an Luxury sedan. After I booked it in Trident Hyundai Bangalore, the dealer comes back to me an says that Hyundai has stopped manufacturing dark grey interior for all getz versions and now its only Beige and woof finish. I know Indians like beige finish, but its a old man’s style. I hate it...so had to fight a lot, I even spoke to som executive ih Hyundai corp. I wanted Passion Red with Dark greay silver interior. But bad luck, I have to live with SIlver exterior to get that dark grey interior, last months left over stock :((
Driving Comfort : Palio is bad - The engine is under powered for the weight. I could feel the drag. The engine is undoubtably great, but bad composition with the body. U-VA - Very average; try getz or swift, U will never touch a U-VA. Swift is good...but Getz is ultimate...very smooth and great power/pick up.
After Sales Service: Undoubtedly Swift is the best. Getz not too far behind. U-VA is surely very very expensive for its spares. Not sure about the new PalioTata tie up.
Sapace Inside: Getz wins by a huge margin. U-VA , though is longer than Getz has a relatively smaller boot. Swift is the worst in this.
