Review : Gang, Life offers to us many lucrative deals and most AFTER we get it, turn sour. This is one such product. I really do not find what is better I mean really better in this car-
I am surprised that Hyundai has pitched this car as an Upgrade to the Santro. Frankly the poor ’ol Santo is a better deal. It has more space, you get to sit straight, clear vision all around and the fact that it has been around for some time with clear avalibility of spares all around also makes me feel more comfortable.
Let us really look at history and the thought process that these car manufacturers follow- Maruti came out with the Alto- they priced it at about 4 lacs on the road- then they started dropping prices- with all the due reasons in the world. So, all the people who bought the Alto initially- ENSURING that the car becomes a successfull model- ACTUALLY GOT BITTEN big time as they found the resale of the car they had bought dropping because they basic price came down. EVERY ONE COULD SEE THAT THIS CAR IS BASICALLY A REPLACEMENT FOR THE OLD WORKHORSE _ the maruti 800. Those who trusted Maruti ... lost out ......... Ford too came out with a ^%%$## car- the Escort (especially at the price they tried to sell it at and the technology being used for the engine) and they too lost- can you believe that they actually offered the 1.3 PUSHROD engine- PUSHROD- - do you all remember the post Independence movies where they used to show the PETER or the Field Marshall engine - pumping water out of tubewells- with patriotic songs in the background.----- THAT engine was the pushrod...the Ambassador has a cam engine...technically the ol Amby used a much more advanced form of technology ...So Ford took a lot of poor gullible customers for a ride offering the Push Rod technology...and that too at a price of 8.5 - or 9.0 lacs.... this engine has an extremely high incident rate of maintainence ...... Holy Cow... more Holy Cows... lots more... ........So- gang before we jump too high lets sit down and think. People it is your money if you know how to push please think. Also one case is that of the Versa.. they wanted to sell it at 5.5 lacs to 6.75 lacs- today after getting stumped- they are lying on the ground and selling it for 3.75 lacs. .... YOU CHOOSE....
