Getz review
Happened to have a look at the getz at metropolitan mall , Gurgaon. Went around and saw the hatchback and it’s interior. It looks pretty good specially from the side and the back.
Another person asked me ’’doesn’t it look like indica?’’ is it priced at 4 lacs? I said 4.5-5 and that too ex showroom. I said to him that it looks better than Indica. He said that is bcoz of black color.
That precisely is the only problem with Getz it seems a bit overpriced!
Given the latest trend of short exteriors and huge interiors getz falls in the design theme of ’’interior space maximisation’’ which is best shown by the new honda city. The huge sloping windscreen absolutely merging with the sharp bonnet and maximum inside space made me remind of my new city.
Make no mistake Getz is a very big car - but only from the inside (out from the outside)-So while the palio may still look bigger than getz it is actually smaller. My friend well said it does look like another Indica from some angles.
Interiors are huge and much better than Ikon, Accent and Esteem. Features like pencil & coin holders, driver steering tray, trays etc are not found in c-segment cars too
A quick look at hyundai website shows comparison list to include- Palio, Indica, Sail, Indigo and Esteem for lower variant(GL) AND also Ikon and fiat petra for the GLS version
Probably I think the pricing should start at 4 lacs for GLS and 4.5 for the gls version. Only then will it sell otherwise no matter the space getz offers it will still be outsold by Ikon
And mileage is more important factor too which is still to be seen.
