Everyone at home including me decided to buy a car and from the onset were sure that we would buy the best one money can buy. Then it dawned upon us that our wallet was not as big as our ambition. So we set a budget of about 5 lakhs. The search started. Considering we live in Mumbai, we HAD to buy a small car.(Notice the emphasis on HAD).
We enquired a lot and reached a conclusion that we would buy either Maruti Swift or Hyundai Getz. After many heated discussions, we reached the conclusion to buy the Getz. We saw that it had enough legroom and headroom for a six footer like me and enough back seat space for my parents.Then many heated discussions went on for which color to buy.
Finally we booked a Bright Silver Getz and it was delivered on Diwali day. I had just learnt driving. I had practised on Indica and esteem and did not like driving too much. I thought of it as a way of getting from one place to another. But when I got my hands on the Getz , everything changed... now its more of a pleasure. I sometimes take it out for a spin just for the pleasure of driving. I am not much of a car maniac but I know this if you want a car with style, comfort, looks and easy handling...a car where you can feel at ease, get a Getz. As we say in Mumbaiyya Hindi, ’’Jhakaas hai , baap’’
