I recetly purchased a 2005 model Hyundai Getz GL 1.3. Actually I meant it for learning. but, when I initially started and pressed the accelerator, I guessed in no way I can learn driving in this car due to its powerful engine, the moment you accelerate the engine it is ready to fly. Any way I got practice in this car and took to highway. Oh what a car is this, surprisinly it can even be compared to the new car of this segment. when you consider milege, it may give little bit shorter than others, but milege is still in your hand depending upon your usage. during my practive I was driving on highway without noticing the speed in the metre, oh god I was driving in 100 km but it was not good for me when practising driving. What I noticed is it is very smooth on highways, no vibration or whatsoever. I hope it can still compete with any new car with 1.2 littre even for next 5 years. Great interior, good boot space, very good A/c. Really it is value for money.

After a two months,
I checked milege in my Getz 1.3 GL 2005 model. I filled 5 lit petrol and checked only on highways with AC at minimum level. I noticed around 14.5 to 15kmpl. Some times it gets down to 13.5 to 14kmpl. Will it give extra milege if AC is not switched on?, if so Is it possible to drive at high speeds with windows opened without AC to improve milege?. I doubt very much on my driving style. I dont know whether I am pressing the accelerator too high. any suggestions? to improve milege
