2017-grand i10 is it attractive? Can it beat the competition? How does it drive?.you will get to know it just in a few seconds.Grand i10 get more appealing and powerful in this iteration.

Looks and Appeal

Subtle changes are made to the front.redesigned air dam, large grill and L-shaped fog-lamp housing and DRL.New 14inch diamond cut alloy, new bumpers are well at the rear. The new car is attractive and slightly conservative but it’s a cute little hatchback.

Power and Transmission

Let’s see what’s hiding under the hood it has 4-cyls engine churning out 83 bhp@6000rpm and 3-cyls outputting 75bhp@4000rpm both are for petrol and diesel respectively.

Engine 1197cc 4-cyls petrol and 1186cc 3-cyls diesel, Fwd

There is ample torque to offer 114nm/190nm respectively

Gearbox is 5speed manual or amt in petrol and 5speed manual for diesel

Mileage 19.77 petrol and 24.31 diesel all in kmpl.

Interior

Interior is now much improved and satisfaction is immense, noise doesn’t come inside the cabin the steering feel quite good and other plastic are soft in nature. Now 7 inch touchscreen with android auto or apple carplay on offer and sound system and radio signals is also quite improved.Leg room is quite adequate as well as headroom spacious for 3 adults at the back.

Ride and Handling

Overall handling and riding quality is improved signficantly and you can realise only is you have drove the previous one. The car is stable at high speed and tackled potholes and undulation of road quite well. This car is very good for driving in city areas but for long trip the car is a bit laggy. Engine does clatter at high speed when you try to get more power.

Conclusion

Car is really good for it’s price according to the competition in compare others in perspective of riding quality and handling though it’s not that much peppy with linear accleration and no turbo lag but you will still love to ride it.
