We got our first car for our family, after a long wait and good amount of research. I think i10 was worth a wait of two years. Finally we zeroed into i10 after fair amount of research on Indica, Zen, Alto, and Swift.
i10 Magna with Champagne Gold was the one we ordered on 5th February and the delivery of the car from ARAS PVPV, Erode was prompt on 13th Feb. Though my dad took the delivery on 18th of February. Was unlucky to have missed out the reduction in price of 13k after the budget. The first thing that impressed me was the interiors of the car, and its the best of all the cars. Main reason for me to reject Swift was for its poor interiors and mileage. i10 approximately runs 15kmpl with amateur driving inside city.
The car being a newly launched and on the peak of its sales had nothing as complementary spares except the floor mats and mud flap(which was due to the fact that we ordered along with our relative who had taken white i10). Had to spend 25k more after the car price of 4.49 lakhs for remote+ audio system + Sun film+ Bulbs+ Horn.
The riding comfort is very good for a car on this class and me being an amateur driver did not have much to comment on the way it behaves compared to the other cars. But I have some useful comments from my friends who are good experienced drivers with experience of driving different class of cars, commented that the car has good driving comfort and he had nothing much to complain about. His dad who owns three cars was impressed with AC of i10 and perfect use of the space.
Another friend of mine who owns a ACCENT CRDI said that i10 is spacious enough and has ample leg room as his car does. He being 6 foot tall was also surprised to see a adjustable steering in this and could adjust it to his convenience. Also everyone feels car looks small from outside but has big space inside.
The vehicle is little expensive in its class but I feel its worth for money with rich interiors and reengineering on inticate details of the car like moving the gear panel to the front rather than between the seats. Hyundai truly deserves accolades for this new invention.
