Sir Sub: Service at KTC Automobiles, Trichur – THE WORST ONE CAN EVER GET!
I would like to narrate the sad story of a new i10 Asta purchased from the above said dealer on the 17th December, 2009. To tell you the truth I had no intentions of buying an i10 before I had a test drive. After the drive I had a talk the sales person with just 2 demands
The dealer failed me in both respects—the vehicle sold to me in Dec 2009 was made in Jan 2009 ! Sold to me as a brand new car after almost a year!! With regards to the service its better if one doesn’t speak much about it. The following has been the experience with the dealer.
n The vehicle was fitted with a parking sensor with the rear view mirror hanging on a wire —when the concerned persons were notified they said that’s all they could do—I had to fit the mirror myself!
n Took the delivery (The delivery ceremony was a cold one to say the least) and filled the tank with 20ltr of petrol only to see the fuel gauge not functioning ! Had to take the car back to the dealer to get it repaired—a good Omen!!!
n Took the car home only to find the plastic panel on the left side front door scratched with sharp object—not one but 3 or 4
n One key not working—took it to the dealer only to find that it was of a different car !!! Had to wait for a couple of weeks to get it replaced
n The four tires filled with 20/22 psi —when the recommended is 33!!!—the dealer never checked the air pressure before delivering the car!!!
So much happened at the time of delivery of the car---shows how much care the dealer takes at the Pre Delivery inspection. (All these detailed on the feed back form sent back to you with no response from your company— yadha praja thadha raja!)
As if the above said was not enough the dealer had more in store for me. On the 23rd February I took the car for some small tinkering and painting work on the front left door and the running board. Was called by the person in charge saying that the vehicle was ready—only to find a badly done painting. I brought this to the notice of the dealer who agreed to re do the same. Went back on the 28th February to find a mess on the running board—they tried some rubbing and polishing with no avail. Waited in the lounge for an hour. Then someone came and told me that the vehicle was ready for delivery. I found a fresh coat of paint on the running board which was yet to dry and lot of dust sticking on to it— even a child would have done a better paint job ! The vehicle was taken for redoing the paint on March 1, 2010. The vehicle was delivered at my residence the same evening with new scratches on the left front bumper, right rear door, the rear quarter panel and the rear bumper. The vehicle was taken for rubbing and polishing on 3rd March. One of the small scratch still remains. There was no call from the managerial staff of the d
