I purchased an i10 magna for 4.59 lakhs from Advaith hyundai, Bangalore on 9th Jan 2008. I was bit unhappy as I did not get the color I liked. But anyway the red color was good. Initially when I went to the showroom I planned to buy a Santro, but once I looked at the i10, the santro looked like a box, because of the interiors. I learnt driving just few days before purchasing the car. Thanks to Hyundai for the electronic power steering, which makes city driving so easy.
The mileage is really best in the class. I am getting a mileage of 18kms/ltr with AC in city driving conditions. About the gears, the car lacks pick up in lower geras in comparison to Santro, but on 5th gear you would feel like flying, as the car becomes very smooth and no engine sound enters the cabin. The cabin space is really great good with great leg room for the driver and the front passenger. The leg room for the rear pasenger is also more than Santro. But the rear seat is not wide enough for carrying 3 passengers for a long drive. The braking of my car was not satisfactory untill the first service.
The service by the Hyundai guys is really good and they took great care of complaints. My car suffered a small dent and scratch. the service could easily have charged me for that, but rather they suggested me to go for an insurance claim. this show their care for the customer’s pocket. So far the longest drive I have taken with this car is to Nandi hills, 70 kms away from Bangalore. the experience was really good and drove at a maximum speed of 120kms/hr and the engine was really smooth. The best thing I like about this car are the interiors and the electronic power steering. Really a good car to own and drive in heavy traffics.
