I have been owning i10 Magna for last 1 year. Overall, I am happy with the car but for its mileage that appears to be pretty low compared to other cars. It gives me around 8-9 km in a city like Mumbai with AC on. I understand that it is the same for most of the i10 owners especially considering the fact that Hyundai has not officially indicated the average mileage for i10 even after 1 1/2 years of its launch.
The other problem that seems to crop up is that gear gets locked once in a while when changing to first or reverse gear. Also, occasionally I do feel that car is underpowered, which one should not , considering that 1.1 is adequate for a car like i10. I hope these issues get sorted out with Kappa engine.
Looking back, I am quite happy with the vehicle especially its manoeuvrability in city. The car responds well to steering and is pretty smooth to drive on as it glides through bumper-to-bumper traffic like the one in Mumbai. The interior space have been well thought out, especially when considering a 6 ft guy like me appreciates it. The AC is great with fast cooling. Suspensions are ok as I haven’t really driven through a long patch of bad roads to really assess the equality of suspension.
Overall, a great car to drive and move around with a family of 4.
