I got this lovely car this year in the month of August! I had booked i10 1.1 liter but surprisingly company launched 1.2 without any notification. It was me who always checked Hyundai website and came to know. I was to go for Era but then 1.2 Magna was available nearly at the same price of that of 1.1 Magna! Well, they removed some features like a rear wiper (who cares about it!) and defogger (again, who ....!).
Yes, coming to its features and all. The car is less specious when you pushback the front seats that is much required when you are above five feet and eight inches! I put my driver seat closer to steering wheel since I am short but then for an average person, it may be difficult. Well, if you push driver seat back, your passengers sitting back to you may feel trouble.
About power, it is good. Of course do not compare this with Swift (it is 1.4). I took a test drive of Swift that my friend has purchased recently! I was little bit impressed with the accelerator it has but you know what, the power steering of Swift is HALF sensitive than that if my i10! Yes it is true, then I drew everything, Spark, Estilo and even big cars like Ford Ikon but believe me, Hyundai i10’s power steering is UNBEATABLE. BTW, I do not drive with both hands, especially in city!
AC is quite okay but is dull when your car is not running. About speed, I just recently took my i10 from Chandigarh to Amritsar. Well, 120 kmph was my speed (I wanted to test, usually I do not go above 100). I feel that the car can surely go above 120 that I did not try anyhow. with 120 speed, the car was unshackable, that you can be sure about.
About average, I don’t know, frankly I don’t know but it seems good since I filled up tankful while going Amritsar and there was much petrol left when we reached there! while coming back, I just filled up 500/- petrol but then I came back safely to Chandigarh and it did not get empty for so many days here!
All in all, the car is good. Thank god I did not wait for the Maruti A - Star with much ballyhoo on the internet. Lol, if you search A-Star, the concept car on google, the pictures it shows will make you crazy and the price they mention will make you fall off from your chair. I am in IT business so know that most of the information you find is fake!!!! I did not believe that A-Star and went for i10. When AStar was officialy declared, the picture was entirely different than what we have been seeing on the net!!!
