I10 review and i10 mileage review Hello friends, I brought the i10 1.1 model in the month of Feb & so its been more than 7 months now. This is my first car & first review on MS so guys enjoy reading my driving experience with i10.
After going through all the cars I chose i10 due to 1) good looks.2) good interiors 3) small car but comparatively spacious among other cars of the segment (except swift). Good looks was one of the major factor to select i10. MS helped me for choosing the car & so here’s the review from my part.
So I bought the i10 from trident bangalore . The car was not delivered on the promised day , there were more than couple of days delays & I was not at all happy about it but I was told it was due to Hyundai. However except that the overall experience with Trident was very good. I have had two servicing up till now & the service department is very friendly . Servicing is a very good experience at Trident.
So about the i10:
i10 has very good quality interior , good boot space , spacious interior. i10 moves smoothly. The 1rst gear is not so smooth & only helps to move the vehicle, coming to 2nd gear is soon required.The pick-up is not good, however during off peak hours one can drive the vehicle in 3rd & 4th gear easily at 25-35 speed.The AC further slows the pick-up a little bit. [ 1.1 engine :( .i10 is very stable at highways.I do not drive fast on highways ( 80-100 km max.) & the vehicle is quite safe & comfortable at that speeds . The braking is good.
i10 takes a long time to cross speeds over 80, this could be due to 1.1 engine.
The gearing is nicely placed & quite smooth .
i10 Mileage
I was expecting a mileage of 14 in the city & it does gives around 14 when I drive in less traffic . But In bangalore’s heavy traffic & car taking 1 hr for 4-5 km travel the mileage obviously falls quite low.( less than 10 ).
Still the overall mileage is greater than 14 ( including highway & city commute).The service people told me that after 2nd servicing average will be better but I see no change.
I have clocked > 3000 km till now.At highways I got > 18 km with AC on, this was due to my slow & safe driving & good road conditions. The car is little bulky & that impacts the mileage but it also makes it safe . I felt safe at the speeds of 90-100.Some people criticise NANO for it not crossing 100 but I think >100 speed is a dangerous speed for all small cars on Indian roads, & even I have not taken my i10 above 100( I am an exp. driver , more than 6-8 yrs of driving still I think this, Am I Right?). I had taken i10 on long drives ( 500 km) & I had no problems.
The AC is comfortable . I have not tested the AC with outside temp> 45 like in central India so cannot comment on that ...
I had a small accident also with a drunken auto driver hitting my car at side .The repair cost was very high >9000 just for removing dents however insurance covered it & would have to forget the no claim bonus now. The accessories costs are high.
I wanted sun roof variant but it was comparatively pricey. i10 is little bit pricey but may be because of the quality.Overall i10 has been a very good experience .
