Gemofaguy has given a very useful review but the mileage of i10 kappa in city(kolkata) with ac on clocked 13.5. I drove my new car for last one month and take it from the horses mouth. Similarly lookwise, exterior is very plain and simple but other than the nose it should not be compared with civic but interior is realy best in its class.maneuvering is also great but i think the extra kappa power is redundant for city driving where u can hardly cross 30 kmph.
Anyway i liked the review but comparing it with bulky swift will only attract frawns from swift fans. The car is very commanding in highways and the engine is super silent within 80kmph bracket. However after crossing 100, with ac on some noise can be heard. But a star is nowhere close to it except from exterior and pick up. Space is realy awesome as i wonder, have maruti gone mad to offer a car with 4lac bracket with such crampy rear seat that is meant for puppys and kids.
I had maruti alto initially and planned to upgrade it with a star/swift but after taking test drive of all the car i short listed swift and i10. But swift interior is very boring with all black and grey plastics and poor mileage. It also is the bulkiest of the whole lot of hatchback with cramped rear seat. Swift petrols days are numbered and if splash(ritz) becomes successful the swift p will be gradually withdrawn. Finally one observation - hyundai should gear up its customer support by training and monitoring dealer performance so that the excellent car its delivering will have equally decent after sales support which i am afraid is not at par with maruti at the moment.
