I 10 sports review after 28000 km

Dear friends, I am a doctor and love to travel a lot with my family. I bought I 10 sportz in jun 2010. completed 28000 km in nov 2011.i m residing at nashik and travelled to pune, mahabaleshwar, pandharpur, ganpatipule, mahad, panvel, bhandardara, lonavalla, dhulia, jalgaon.

I will not tell u  whether I 10 is good or bad.it is an individual opinion. I will just share my experience. I had driven maruti 800, maruti wagonR, hyundai santro.all petrol cars. this is my fourth car. after buying I 10 it gave me mileage of 13.5on highway and 11 in city(method of obtaining mileage-full the tank-drive-again full the tank).no complains.because dealers are meant to ignore them. after 1st servicing mileage improved to 14 in city & 16.5 on highway(ac on ALWAYS). as far as mileage is concern, it depends on 2 factors. 1.what engine u get. it is a luck factor. u cant change it. but the possibility of getting bad engine is very low and stands equally with all brands. 2.how u drive. more racing, driving on lower gears, keeping engine running on signals or when u r not moving dramatically lower mileage. Comfort and handling- if u love driving I 10 is real treat for u. ghat roads of konkan were easily and effortlessly tackled by I 10’s powerful 1.2L engine. smooth noise free engine, very smooth power steering and good pick up adds to pleasure of driving. on one of holidays I drove 1960 km in 4 days but never felt tired. we were 4 persons but no one complained about space insufficiency. 99% times petrol engines never break down and leave u helpless in the middle of road and so is i10.Till today my I 10 is giving me mileage of 16km/Ltr on highway and 13.5 km/Ltr in city. I had never drove diesel vehicle so cant say anything about it. Only one thing, new I 10 magna 1.2 and new swift vdi, both have almost same features but the prize difference is Rs.2 lac.

If petrol’s average rate(considering next 3 years) is Rs. 100 then u can able to buy 2000 Ltr petrol. If ur I 10(or any other petrol vehicle) delivers mileage of 15 per Ltr, then u will drive 30000 km in the prize of diesel vehicle. If ur monthly usage is less than 1500 km then go for petrol car.
