I was planning to buy a Hyundai i10 but after taking into consideration the below mentioned pros and cons and taking a test drive, I dropped the idea and booked a Wagon R:
1) Pros: There is a huge demand in the younger generation for this car because of its refreshing looks. So one can expect good resale value. Existing Hyundai car users who don’t want to try other brands don’t have any other option in the price range of 4-4.25 lakhs.
2) Cons- Poor cabin space, poor mileage and very bad power steering. This three points were strong enough to drop the idea and go for Wagon R which has all the good points that should be there in a 4 lakhs plus price range car i.e. huge cabin space for comfortable long drives, 60:40 split of rear seat, tall boy looks, high seating so getting in and out is easy, Maruti Suzuki banner which ascertains one of the quality, low maintenance, good resale value, cheaper spare parts, etc.
Hyundai gives two spoke steering wheel in Era model which is around 25-30 thousand costlier than its rival Wagon R Lxi model which comes with three spoke steering wheel and hence gives good interior looks.
