I bought hyundai i10 1.2 sportz kappa 2 petrol version in Dec. 2011 and till date it has crossed 13000 kms. mark and all the free services have been done.
My basic problem with this car is the mileage.I mostly travel within the New Delhi city and sometimes to Gurgaon and Noida too (but not much) but I m not getting an avg. of 10-11 kmpl.
I don’t know what is the reason?My car has crossed 10000 kms, all the free services have been completed, I keep the tyre pressure as prescribed by the manufacturer, shifts the gear as provided in the digital meter of the vehicle and don’t use clutch all the time too but the efficiency is not improving.
I used to full the tank always with approx.30-32 L petrol and at the time when the tank shows "reserve" my achieved kms are just 300-320 which sometimes gets extended to 350 max.
This is when I keep ac switch on all the time.During winters when no ac is used mileage goes to 400 kms to max up to 430 kms with the same fuel inputs.
I am really fed up with this now and think that it was a wrong decision to choose i10 as I m not getting benefited in a right manner as in today’s time when inflation is rising all time high this car is not showing me the worth as the basic requirement for any middle class person is the fuel efficiency.
Please suggest me some good steps so that I can enhance the fuel efficiency of my car.I m not a 100% perfect driver and need suggestions from you all guys in order to enhance its mileage.
