This is the first time im posting something I this forum. Its actually not a review but may matter forpeople planning to buy i20. I m residing in the heart of Delhi and currently own a ford ikon.off lately, due to the age of my car, I decided to go for a new car.After pondering on all issues including finances and personal requiremnts- I shortlisted the following cars

polo
swift dzire petrol
test driving polo was a disastor as I still cannot fathom that how come a petrol car so sluggish. itook a second test drive but it only recomfirmed my inhibitions. I immediately took atest drivean I 10 and .wat a relief.the car responds so well . though m only talking in terms of engine respose but I cudnt really appreciate polo from any other aspect after seeing the engine response, specially at lower rpm.
i somehow was impressed with I 10 and thought of booking it, but somehow I couldnt take my eyes off I 20 parked in the premises. I went back and reworked my finances to fit in I 20 in budget. since I streached the budget. it was an i20 or dzire petrol.
i was very keen for I 20 for two reasons- unmatched looks and 1.2 kappa engine( which I tested in I 10)
altough I knew that due to excess kerb weight of I 20, the response of the engine to throttle will not be as gud as I 10. but that wasnt too much of hassle. then the real story starts. I test drove I 10 at hans hyundai and they were quite entertaining. infact I recieved repeated calls rehgding my decision of buying a car but the moment I told them that I wanna test drive an I 20 .booom. they promised a test drive after a week and that week never came. sometimes the car was not there -somtimes the car met with accident . and so on . iwas keen on buyin a car early so I contacted samara hyundai as well as mgf hyundai for I 20 test drive but these big shots also had there share of reasons for not giving a testdrive.
It is more than 45 days and none of the hyundai showrooms could arrange a test drive for I 20. isnt that strange.
at last I contacted hyundai customer care and they offered me hyundai plaza, mathura road. surprisingly hyundai plaza also ended up making false promises. the fact is that any other car is readily available for test drive but I 20 . 45 days - more than 16 calls.?
my apprehesion is that is all cars, even all hyundai cars are so readily available n all the showrooms in delhi. Then how com i20 which is the latest in stables be not available.for all other cars I keep getting calls almost every day but whenTD for I 20 is stricly no no.i was also given a story that the demand is high and supply is less which may be true but the demand cant be so high that hyundai decides to remove i20 from shelves and hide it so as no one else buys it.
it is not that I m out of breath that I m not getting test drive but hyundai people pls look into the matter .furthermore if any of the customer has the same problem .u might think twice goin for a car for which test drive is not given for weeks together. I found that there were some problems like being underpower and non effective AC. is hyundai up to improving these faults or there is some other story.whatever it is I am so disapponted that every single day, my decision of an I 20 seems unwise.
if anyone can amplify .specially hyundai sales managers and manager operations, pls contact me.i love hyundai cars but this is really disheartening.
