I20 quality & dealership suck big time

I bought i20 from Saini Hyundai Kolkata last year and within a year had to replace the Wipers then the Horn stopped working, A.C was not working properly from the very first day and I complained about it to the dealers during my first service.


But now it has stopped working completely. I saw an article in print where it is mentioned that Hyundai is well aware of this A.C problem then why no directives are given to the dealers to fix the same( economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/news-by-industry/auto/automobiles/hyundai-offe

Saini Hyundai claims it is not aware of this and that this is my imagination. After second free service the pick up became very slow and the clutch was tight. Also a loud growling sound started emanating from the engine almost like that of a truck.


These too I mentioned in the workshop but they did not make a note of it just said that they will work on it. It took them 2 bloody weeks to do the body work but they didn’t work on this problems. Though I mentioned it several times. Last Friday the clutch broke down, I guess because of the same problem.


And now they are saying that I have to go for replacement of clutch, AC repair (Repeat work and Hyundai mentioned that this is of low grade), brake pad repair. I have to rush to workshop every now and then within a year of purchase of the car. This itself shows the degraded quality of Hyundai cars.


Even though Nano is 1 lakh car the Tatas are decent enough to own responsibility of the faults it has. But the person in Saini Hyundai workshop was telling me that all these can happen with any electronic product, infact the entire car can break down.


Why the bloody hell will someone pay 5.5 lakhs for a fu**ing car whose quality the dealers themselves cant guarantee. That shows the kind of responsibility Hyundai takes for the product it supplies.


I don’t see a reason why I should pay for such a shoddy service and such degraded quality of car parts. I am planning to go to consumer court as I don’t think talking to these people anymore is going to get my issues resolved.
