I bought i20 magna 2 weeks back.
I20 is the trend setter for hatch backs in India. The car looks very good inside and gives you an upmarket feeling the moment you enter the car. There are many features comes with High end Asta, though all those features and not there is Magna, still it’s fully loaded I would say. Got 4 power windows, central locking, tilt and telescopic steering.
About the performance, if you are looking for great pickup, this is not the car, though it has 1.2L engine, the power that it delivers is more than enough on our Indian roads. I recently went for a long drive of 800Kms, my personal opinion is it is little sluggish in the second gear, but once if you are used to it u won’t feel it. The baby starts delivering the power once it crosses 3k RPM. Sudden over taking needs down shifting of gear.
Over all this is a very good car and it is a head turner in the city. Many people say it is under-powered but it’s not, it has got enough power to pull. On my recent drive of 800 Km the car is fully loaded with 4 Adults and boot fully loaded I never felt it’s under-powered, but one has to be careful while over-talking as we need to down shift the gear.
Trust me one will not regret if they are looking for a decent hatchback for city driving and occasional high way drives.
Gear shifting is butter smooth; steering is also very light and helps you a lot in the traffic. I bought this car from KUN-Hyundai (Kondapur) Hyderabad. The Guy who took my booking troubled me a lot with no-proper response and delayed the delivery by 1 week, as a result ended up paying 25K more as VAT and Life Tax has increased.When I have escalated the issue to the Sales Manager, the issue was taken care and the car was delivered immediately within 2 days.
