Hyundai I20 - a real good car to buy

I have bought i20 (Petrol) Sportz (O) without alloy wheels in July 1st week this year.

The car has already clocked 2500kms and had already got 1st service done at 1200kms. The car is good, I would say cool. In the city, only sometimes you feel the car being underpowered when you make it run on 2nd or 3rd gear on AC, but it’s not much of issue for me. I havent gon on highways as yet.

The AC with automatic climate control is good now, it’s giving problems in older cars where they havent introduced automatic climate control like my sister has old i20 Magna purchased 2 years back which isnt having automatic climate control.

My car is presently giving 10kms/litre avg in city with AC on even after 1st service. When I had approached Hyundai Motor plaza- compnay owned dealership (Delhi) from where I had purchased my car, they told me that only after 2nd service the average increases to 12-13 kms/litre, so I have no option than to suffice with 10kms/litre till 10, 000kms. Even my sister i20 (Magna) after driving of 18000 kms is giving her 13.5kms/litre in city like gurgaon.

The car’s interiors is very spacious with rear legroom more comfortable than Swift or Punto or even Polo which I have testdrive at time of purchasing my car.

The best features of car are it’s stereo system with USB integrated, the automatic climate control AC, steering mounted audio controls and electrically controlled and foldable side rear view mirrors.

One thing I didnt like in car is that the boot and all doors locking remains the same, if doors are open, one can easily open the boot also, so please keep your doors locked from inside specially or one can open your boot and take anything without you getting notice of.

Everytime I got caught in a Jam, I see people driving indica’s, fiat punto or even polo used to look at my car, at that time I thought I have got a scratch or dent on my car, but later after checking the whole car understood, that they are looking at the beauty of the car exterior, it’s curves and side lines.

People, I would really say, it’s a car to go for if you have the budget..

P.s: I wont say go for the ABS version, because I dont feel much use of ABS in city driving conditions if one is prone to more city driving conditions
