Dealer sanjay hyundai

I bought santro GLS from Sanjay Hyundai in pune. I would like to share my experience. I work in a software company.After going about gathering info for many cars I finally shortlisted on WagonR, zen estello and Santro. Santro was recommended my family members and I finalised on it.


I called up Sanjay hyundai and also kothari.1 st I called kothari as they have a larger customer base and also the showroom is big. The receptionist transferred my call to the concerned person.However the phone kept getting disconnected, I had to call up 4-5 times which was a bit frustrating. I got the car details price quotation etc. The guy asked me if I wanted a test drive and that he could send the vehicle to my office premises.I asked him to do so the next day.


Then I called up sanjay hyundai. The receptionist forwarded the call. The representative was driving and told me that he shall call back. Within 5 minutes he called back giving all details of the car price etc. Next day early in the morning sanjay hyundai called up saying that they wanted to a send a representative. At 2 PM a representative came to my office. I asked for accessories. Final deal was santro gls with mp3 player/sun film/seat covers/mat and mud pads for 3.8 lacks PCMC registration.I paid the token amont in cash.


As soon as I paid the token amount the representative told me that I need to give him 500 Rs for some affidavid, on asking why he did’nt tell it before he said that these charges were to be paid by customer. Deal finalised.


After 1 hr I got a call from kothari saying that the person with vehicle for test drive had arrived. I went for a test drive. the vehicle was good . I tried asking him what accessories he can give me, however he did not agree on the mp3 player.


Anyways I had finalised the deal with sanjay hyundai. Next day morning I went to the sanjay showroom. The same guy with whom I had finalised the deal came up and showed me the vehicle. The interior were in 2 colors Red and Blue. I asked him that I wanted the car with blue and not red interiors and he agreed.There was no tray as hyundai has removed that, I asked him if he could fit that at no extra cost he was reluctant. I asked him if he could show me the accessories he had promised. he showed me some melba seat covers for mp3 player he said that will come from workshop and he did not have one at that time--this was annoying.


He said if I pay the entire amount in one go I would get the car in 2 days.I paid the amont 3.8 lacks. It was a thursday. On monday I called up he said car is yet to arrive. Now I had to call up everyday no one from sanjay hyundai contacted me.

thursday he said car has arrived and needs to go for registration.


Friday I called up 4 -5 times. And in between each time I called I made sure to tell him that I wanted blue interiors. Friday evening when I called at 5 the sales person said that the car has come and mp3 player is being fitted. I told him that I would be coming with my wife and that I would prefer if I dont have to wait. he siad OK. I went home picked up my wife and went to sanjay hyundai showroom I reached there by around 6 PM


There sales guy was no where to be seen. I enquired at the reception the lady told me to wait and someone would come shortly. 5 minutes gone no one comes. 10 minutes no one yet, I enquire again and am told that the sales guy with whom I was interacting has gone for some road show. I called him on his cell and he assured me that someone would assist me immediately. 45 minutes gone finally I guy comes and shows me the papers etc , I am really frustated by this time. Finally he takes me to the car. Opens the door and see what the interiors are Red. !!!!!!!!


I see the mp3 player it looks old with no manual no remote no company name written. I went to the reception and said that I wanted to meet some one incharge. One guy who said he was the corporate assistance manager came up. He said that the color I had chosen comes in red only. The point why did not the sales person tell me before I had reminded him the same each time I had called up.


The mp3 player he went and got a manual and a remote. I had no other option.Moreover I had paid 3.8 lacks I got a recipt for 3.78 they still say the rest amount is for extended warranty and no recipt is given fo that.


Anyways the car is good. Its been a month now.
