Small Choice

There are a lot of options in the 2.5 - 4.0 lac bracket now.

1. Alto LXi

2. WagonR LX, LXi, VXi

3. Santro Xing

I am omitting M800 as it is not fitting to compare scooter on four wheels to

other cars. FIAT Palio is avoided as it is pointless to compare a non selling

product to hot selling ones. Maruti Zen is avoided as the makeup/makeover by

Maruti killed the cute beauty of a car(still engine is a gem) and nail on its

coffin is placed by Maruti’s own SWIFT.

1. Driving Comfort

No points for guessing. It is santro Xing followed by Wagon R and then Alto

The latest eRlx is worth driving with exceptional driveability and response

from an engine.

2. Quality

Santro Xing wins hands down. The interior as well as exterior speaks loudly in

Q for QUALITY. But other two cannot hand a candle to it.

3. Interior space.

Santro has the best managed interior space for a car of its size. The rear seat

is the best designed one almost as comfortable as an Ambassador seat.

3. Fuel Efficiency

maruti Alto is the most fuel efficient , followed by Santro and WagonR(both same)

But an intelligent driver can extract more mileage from a santro powerplant, since

it is the only car in its category having a three dimensional ignition curve to match

all driving conditions.

4. Resale Value

Santro has the best resale value of the three.

5. Cost

Alto is the cheapest followed by the other two.

One thing I had felt in every Maruti including latest Swift is some kind of noise always

persist inside the car in the form of door chatter, hatch chatter, dashboard chatter etc.

I found one more interesting thing that the Santro owners are very proud about their car

and they speak volumes about it and the same cannot be said about a maruti owner.
