With Hyundai:Dealers are a problem

My father owns Hyundai Santro.


Since past few weeks, he had been receiving calls from your dealer to get his car serviced. The lady over the persuaded that they were holding a service camp where by it will cost us Rs. 720 to get the car serviced. This cost included oil and filter change. This information was confirmed repeatedly by her.


Upon repeated such calls, my father agreed to get the car serviced and fixed up an appointment with the dealer.


However, on reaching the dealer workshop, the cost of service was estimated to be Rs 1500+. This didn’t include any additional work/parts other than the work discussed over phone.


My father insisted that this was not the cost promised to him. However the dealer manager simply backed-off. There were a lot of arguments but eventually, the car couldn’t be serviced.


This caused us much of hassle as we didn’t want to get the car serviced for that price. We wasted over 6 hours in the whole process as we live in another city.


My father is a shop keeper and he has to close down the shop for all such works. But this caused us loss on both sides.
