I am Rajesh, addicted to this site since last 6 months, and this is my favourite section.
Its first time m writing something on it.
Actually, I sold off my Maruti 800 yesterday, and after pondering for weeks to decide
between Wagon R or Santro, it seems I have a crush on Santro’s looks especially tail lights,
and a respect for its space. U guys please help me clear the following doubts to finally make my mind up.
I understand from your reviews that eRLX will give 16/KMPL on highways and 11-12/KMPL in city, OK? How much it lags behind Wagon R on this front?
What is the best deal I can get from the dealer for an XL ?
Is it costlier to maintain than an Wagon R, for a period of 5-6 years, if I do apprx. 15000 km per year?
What about the rumour that soon Santro Diesel is being launched and price of petrol models will be heavily slashed?
I tried very hard but couldn’t find a review from someone who has driven this car for a considerable time, say 2-3 years atleast.
I hope I will get a good advise from my friends of this site.

m back to seek your opinion, to decide between Santro XL and Wagon R LXi, I have decide to buy one which costs me less on road.
The Hyundai and Maruti, both are offering me free insurance and a cash discount of Rs. 7000, is that enough? I am sure there must be some better deal in last month of year. I am in NCR in Haryana and I am not planning to avail any finance.
Please advise.

2 years back, taking cue from ur advice, I went for Santro Xing, had been driving it for 2 years. and will soon write my experience about it and the dealer, Pioneer Hyundai, Ludhiana.
