I am a satisfied owner of a Hyundai Santro from February 2007, I had done a lot of survey and study before going for it over Wagon R and I am happy that I decided for the same.
It is the best car in the segment when compared with its competeters.......some of the notable features are:
It generates ample power, possibly the highest in its segment, recently (2 days back) I had been to Munnar (Ghat roads) which is around 6000 feet above SL and it went like a breeze while I saw other vehicles labouring the way up.
The mileage in city is 14 kmpl and 17 kmpl on highways a lot depends on driving pattern when we discuss about the mileage (like clutch & Accelerator habits etc)
Driving comfort is awesome and the best for sure:
a. Seating: It has got a high seating position (Tall Boy Model) which gives you the best possible
view of the road, and you are nicely positioned to take on even long drives.
b. Power Steering is just perfect to control the vehicle, it is not too easy and you feel the grip in
connection with the wheels of the vehicle when it comes to manoeuvering the vehicle.
c. AC is very good and cools in no time and the blower speeds are well caliberated.
d. Space is a major aspect to go for this vehicle, you have ENOUGH room in the front as well as
the back for a hatchback which adds to your travelling comfort as well. The boot is also pretty
spacious and the facility to fold the back seat gives you extra advantage and room.
e. Silent - If properly maintained the vehicle being a compact one runs with 0 sound, which is not
the case in other vehicles over a period of time......you tend to hear light to heavy rattling
sound in Wagon R, Indica, Spark as they develop them over usage.
f. This is a very dependable vehicle if serviced at the right times and maintained well, and will
never let you down
I would highly recommend this vehicle as I feel this is simply the leader by miles in its segment. Note: One should get the vehicle serviced as and when due from the Hyundai workshop and enjoy the beauty of owning it.
