I bought a Santro from Hans a year back and now was the time for my third free service. Appointment was fixed for 9:00 clock in the morning on Sunday and I reached there on time. So far so good.
The service man came and started preparing the job card. As usual free oil and oil filter were mentioned and now he smartly asks ’’wheel balancing and tyre rotation will be charged’’.And I asked him why?? its a free service.. and he said this is not included.
I argued that it is very much included and that guy not ready to bow down asked me where it is mentioned?? .
I showed him the checklist that is included in the santro service booklet.. and even after this he was not accepting the fact.. and told me that he will confirm with his manager. He then disappeared after including the wheel balancing and tyre rotation in the job card.
So, now my car was all set to go to the shop floor.. and I went to the customer lounge. But couldnt make myself sit in the lounge I decided to roam on the shopfloor.. and luckily I went near my car. Though the floor manager polietely asked me to wait in customer lounge and I did it. But I was really skeptical about that wheel balancing part and tyre rotation part. I was peeping on the shop floor at my car and when the floor manager was not there.. I sneaked in.
And now the twist..only 2 front tyres were balanced and not the all 4 tyres, and tyre rotation was also dont only for the front 2 tyres. And then I checked my job card and it was written 2 wheel balancing .. which unfortunately I missed in the beginning.
I went to the service man and asked why only 2 tyres and he took me to the floor manager.. and then again started the arguments..why would he do all four tyres.. he started explaining me that these cars are 2 wheel cars.. that means that only front 2 wheels drives the car.. and nowhere it is written that al wheels are to be balanced .. and blah blah.. I argued and I argued ..and I asked him if I had this paid service.. would you do only for 2 tyres and then he was speechless.. but it was his ego now.. and he said.. he wont do all four tyres.
So guys correct me if I am wrong about getting my all 5 tyres getting balanced in free service rather than two...
And secondly beware now.. because of what had happened to me.
