My first new Car - Santro Xing GL Plus Silver Silver
Have run just 45 kms. Delivery taken on 29th March 2013, Friday
I find the car comfortable enough for a family of 4-5.
Rear space is enough for 2 average people. A slim one can also fit in rear seat.
The door locks are very much classical, old model type. Hyundai could have thought about it. Mirrors have to be adjusted from outside only, no provision to adjust from your seat - a big draw back in a modern car for a price of 4.36 lacs(Tiruvellore).
Have to drive enough to say more about the car.
But have enough to narrate my life-worst experience I had with the dealer. I would never recommend this dealer to anyone in my life. Enough and enough.
I’ll explain what happened to me in my next visit and an update on my car review. Car is good, but the dealer I selected was wrong.

Update on my Santro 23/11/2013
Santro seems a very good VFM family car for a count of 4 or 5. We are three adults(average size), a four year female kid and a six month infant. We travel long stretches with all ease.
Drives done:
Chennai - Tuticorin - Tirunelveli - Tenkasi - Kutralam - Pabanasam - Ambasamudram - Pudukottai(Tirunelveli Dt) - some interior villages - Tiruchendur - Chennai
1600 kilometres done without any fatigue even to my dad who’s 61 and has all body aches like backpain, jointpain etc. Rear passengers were quite comfortable.
Mileage: Chennai - Tuticorin- Top speed - 110 - 120 kmph 20% of journey and remaining 80% 80-90 kmph. Mileage was 17.10 kmpl without AC( due to so high speed, any car above 100 would drop mileage).
Return: Tuticorin - Chennai Top speed 85- 105 kmph: Mileage was 19.53 kmpl without AC.
All local trips within Tuticorin and Tirunelveli gave mileage varying from 16.5 - 19(due to heavy City traffics)
Chennai - Banglore(Top speed 70-75 kmph) Mileage was 20.94 without AC .
Hence mileagewise, car was a good selection for this 1086 cc engine and the comfort level offered by Santro.
Pickup was very good, no fatigue during drives, no problems. Tyre pressure maintained @ 33 psi all over the trip. Very rare AC usages. AC is chill and cool at point 1 itself and in burning sun, it would be good at 2 point for a while till the cabin cools and then I maintain in 1.
People even say Santro has better seating position than i10, but I have never driven an i10.
Car is really good who can afford 4.3 lacs budget for a new one. . best delaer recommended would be KUN Hyundai Ambattur, Chennai.
